4AQUA® Water softeners

A water softener from the 4AQUA® series gives you a reliable solution for hardness problems.

The 4AQUA® water softeners are suitable for almost any possible water quality and any quantity of water can be softened. Systems in which 4AQUA® water softener can be used include:
* steam boilers
* cooling towers
* evaporating condensers
* process water
* agriculture and horticulture
* etc.

The principle
The columns contain resin that can bind the positively charged calcium and magnesium ions. That way the calcium and magnesium are removed from the water flowing through the columns of the water softener.
These ions are exchanged with sodium ions from the resin. For this reason, water softening installations of this type are often referred to as cation exchangers.

Versions
Dependent on the required water quantity and the moment of regenerating, various versions can be chosen:
* single-column version
* multicolumn version
* time-controlled version
* volume-controlled version

Example: a combination of a multicolumn installation with volume control makes it possible to have softened water available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
